Lab Grown Diamond Moissanite

Brilliance: 2.65 - 2.69

Through proprietary faceting, moissanite optimizes this unique gemstone’s refractive index, known as brilliance. With a brilliance range of 2.65 – 2.69, moissanite is the world’s most brilliant gem – exceeding all mined and created gemstones with more sparkle.

Fire: 0.104

Fire dispersion, or scintillation, measures a gemstone’s ability to break white light into its component colors. Due to its double refractive optical quality, moissanite emits sparks of color from the light that enters the stone. Moissanite’s fire measures 0.104 on the dispersion index – nearly two and a half times that of diamonds.

Hardness: 9.25 - 9.50

Hardness is a measure of a stone’s durability. Soft gemstones can scratch or chip if worn daily. Moissanite is the world’s hardest mineral, and is harder than any other gemstone except diamond. On the Moh’s Scale of Hardness, moissanite measures 9.25 – 9.5 compared to a diamond’s measurement of 10.0.
